A. The School Anthem

Ons Namib bome stewig sterk
Kameeldoring oral heen
Ons fondament in God se leer
In Edugate ons skool
Ons is trots, streef na bo
Ons is rotsvas en ons glo
Sal ons dan altyd trou wil bly
Aan God, ons land en skool
Animum Docemus!

Our Camel thorn so strong and stout
This is beloved land
The lovely place where cattle graze
We love you Edugate
We are proud, of our school
We are steadfast and believe
Shall we always be true to you
Our Lord, the land and school
Animum Docemus!

The School Anthem: Carolene During

B. The School Shield

The Shield designed by Liana Oberholzer.

1. The Symbols

Mountain: It rises above the normal and is easy to distinguish from far away. This shows that Edugate\\\\\\\'s uniqueness should be clear and unmistakable. It is also the symbol of stability, infiniteness and security.

Tree: At first everyone grows together, later on the boys and girls separate, then they separate by potential, but in the end they still form one body. This points to the fact that as long as we live, we will grow.

2. The Colour

Blue: The blue sky and clear water represent our surroundings. They are signs of hope, fertility and life.

Sand: Symbolizes the fertile ground, out of which so many people in and around Otjiwarongo make their living.

White: Associated with purity, peace and unity.

Yellow: Gold not only represents sunshine and sun power but also mineral richness. It also represents our striving for the Heavenly reward.

3. The Form

Both the mountain and the tree are drawn in a pentagon pointing upwards. The pentagon symbolizes vision and direction as well as the encompassing Divinity. The motto appears on a ribbon passing under the arrow and on either side, symbolizing our motto-as-foundation.

4. The Motto/Dictum

Animum Docemus - We train the mind, body and being.

The Flag (By Kathrin Adam)

C. The School Flag

1. Contexts

The flag comprises a thorntree and the silhouette of the Paresis Mountain native to the Otjiwarongo district.

The Acacia: Symbolises stability, steadfastness and persistency, while depicting life. The tree trunk splits into two definite sections, which symbolises the two sexes\\\\\\\' separate development. The two branches grow apart, but the mass of leaves form a single unit where fruit grows. This shows the symbiotic unity in the community.

The Paresis Mountain: Symbolises stability, infiniteness and security. This shows that the principles on which Edugate is based are just as stabile, steadfast and secure as the mountain.

2. The Colour

Blue: The blue sky and clear water represent our surroundings. They are signs of hope, fertility and life.

Sand: Symbolises the fertile ground, out of which so many people in and around Otjiwarongo make their living.

White: Associated with purity, peace and unity.
